Why ID Verification Is Required
ID verification helps Vetano stay professional and safe:
Prevents fake accounts, bots, and scams
Ensures you know you’re dealing with a real person or real business
Reduces spam and unwanted contact
Supports a verified, trust-based community
We use Persona to verify identity. Persona collects a government ID and a selfie only for verification (not for marketing or any other purpose).
What ID Verification Unlocks
After you verify, you can fully use Vetano features, including:
Creating your custom handle and sharing your Vetano link (via the QR button top-right)
Being eligible for full discovery and trust features across the platform
Using trust-based communication features (Connections + chat flow)
Important privacy note:
Even after verification, your personal contact info and attachments are only visible if you allow a Connection and it’s accepted.
What You’ll Need
A government-issued photo ID, such as:
Driver’s license
Passport
National ID (where available)
We can’t accept expired IDs or non-government IDs (school IDs, credit cards, etc.).
When to Do It (Recommended Order)
ID verification works best when you do it after your profile is ready:
Complete your profile first (bio + skills + videos + showcase)
Then complete ID verification
Then tap the QR code button (top-right) to create your handle + share your link
How to Verify
Go to Settings → Verify ID
Follow the prompts to upload your ID
Take a selfie when prompted (used only for verification)
Troubleshooting Tips
Use good lighting (avoid glare)
Make sure your ID is clear and not blurry
Ensure your profile details match your ID where required
Try a stable Wi-Fi connection
